How to build

• She cut herself with the razor.

  • 'She' is the subject of the sentence, and she cut herself with a razor. The same person who did the cutting was also cut.

• He accidentally hit himself on the head.

  • 'He' is the subject and he was also the person who was hit, so we say that he hit himself.

• Can you please prepare yourself for the exam?

  • 'You' is the subject of the question and will also be the person to prepare for the exam.
