Unemployment Seen Falling in May, End-Year Target Realistic

May 23, 2011 Poland's unemployment is expected to decline in May and may reach the government target of 10.9% at the end of the year if economic growth measures around 4%, Labor Minister Jolanta Fedak told reporters. Poland's unemployment rate is expected to show a dynamic decline in May or in the summer months but it is hard to forecast whether the 0.5 pps decrease reported in April will be repeated, deputy Labor Minister Czeslawa Ostrowska told the Polish news agency PAP on May 12.
