RWE Opens Third Wind Farm in Poland

May 20, 2011 Power group RWE Polska launched 15 wind turbines in its Tychowo wind farm near Stargard Szczecinski in West Pomerania on Thursday, the company said in a press statement. The 15 turbines produced by Siemens, each 2.3 MW, will annually be able to produce 65 000 MWh of electricity and thus supply 32 000 households. The farm will allow avoiding CO2 emissions at the level of around 65 000 tons. Together with the newly built wind farm in Piecki (in Warmia-Masuria region) RWE owns 49 turbines in three wind farms in Poland with total power of 108 MW. Source: The Warsaw Voice
