Poems in the Tube

July 4, 2011 Wiersze w Metrze (Poems in the Tube), a project which introduces contemporary poetry to commuters, has kicked off for the fourth time. Apart from Warsaw, Polish poetry will be brought to capital cities on two continents, including London, Paris, Madrid, Kiev, Beijing and Tokyo. In conjunction with Poland taking over the presidency of the EU, special exhibitions featuring poems by contemporary Polish poets will also be shown at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels and Luxembourg. In all the capital cities, the Poems in the Tube project will see Polish poems displayed on the subway. Source: The Warsaw Voice
