PiS to File No-Confidence Motion Against Treasury Minister

April 1, 2011 Main opposition party PiS plans to file a motion for the dismissal of Treasury Minister Aleksander Grad, PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski told a news briefing. PiS is dissatisfied with Grad's plans of the privatization of fuel group Lotos. PiS decided to file the motion because Russian companies could take part in the Lotos privatization. PiS is against such decisions, Kaczynski said. Kaczynski added that Grad was responsible for bad privatization and improper treasury supervision over state assets. The motion is good news, as a debate on the matter will provide an opportunity to prove the opposition's incompetence, spokesperson for the government Pawel Gras told the Polish news agency PAP on Thursday.
