German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her husband are to pay a private visit to the Polish coastal town of Jurata July 9-10, where they are to meet Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski.
Merkel will also visit the coastal city of Gdansk, where her mother was born in 1928.
Merkel took part in a joint meeting of the Polish and German Cabinets in Warsaw last month, when Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk hailed Polish-German relations as an example for the rest of Europe.
