Audiobooks Gain Popularity in Poland

The Audioteka.pl website is selling audiobooks for Nokia and iPhone smartphones and phones with the Android operating system. According to analysts from the NetPress Digital company, the Polish audiobooks market is worth an estimated zl.20 million (5 million euros) and is growing at a double-digit rate. Around 18 percent of people in Poland listen to audiobooks daily or almost daily, 14 percent do so once a week, 17 percent once a month and 51 percent less than once a month. The MDPL company which owns Audioteka.pl wants to become profitable this year and in a couple of months it is planning to enter the Warsaw Stock Exchange's NewConnect market. Source: The Warsaw Voice
