How to Do Better and Pull up Your Grades in the Last Quarter

Poziom:

Temat: Edukacja

School is a place for meeting mates, hanging out, eating candy and mocking teachers. However, those things are not the reason you are forced to go to school. Don't worry, read on. Steps: 1. Think about what distracts you most. What subjects do you take? What are your grades? Do your teachers like you? 2. Decide where do you want to go. Which college do you want to start at? Which job do you want? What grades will you need? 3. Work out how much time you have. How long is that last quarter? 4. Work out how you're going to get there. Which grades will be easiest to pull up? 5. Show your teachers that you want to raise your grades. Ask them to tell you exactly what you need to do to pull up your grade. If they say it's too late now - don't give up! Be stubborn! Act like you can't possibly accept that the grade can't be raised. 6. Be attentive during classes, take notes, listen to your teacher. This will not only help you in studying, but also show once again, that you really want to pull up your grades. 7. Borrow a friend's notes and go through them quickly as studying for forthcoming tests; if you don't have notes from earlier classes. 8. Determine which kind of teacher you have in each subject. If they grade the students depending only on test results, focus on the tests. If they grade also depending on personality, be nice, talk to them about casual subjects. If they grade depending on how you behave in class, debate/answer questions and show interest in the subjects. 9. Study. Check out wikiHow articles on how to study effectively. 10. Make sure your spelling and grammar are correct in essays. Have someone check your work before you hand it in. Tips: * Teachers are human beings, and therefore they can't be perfectly fair. Take advantage of this. * If you follow these steps, it will appear as if you've changed a great deal, and that will impress your teachers. * Teachers tend to include questions about subjects you've already covered in new tests - be prepared. * They also tend to, without thinking of it, like grammatically correct essays better than others, even if the essays cover the given subjects likewise. * Make sure they really understand how much you want to pull up your grades (exaggerate if needed). If you haven't cared about schoolwork before, you won't appear as a teacher's pet. * Also you should try. Trying is better than just giving up. There is more to learn from your mistakes. Things You'll Need: * Study materials * Classes to attend * Teachers * Motivation originated by: Anonymous, Sondra C, Andrew Crosby, Teresa Source: www.wikihow.com
