Job description: Manual worker

Bill is a manual worker. People like Bill are also called blue collar workers. Bill works in a factory. He packs car parts into special boxes. He enjoys his job although it is a bit boring because he has to repeat the same action over and over again. Working in a factory is not very difficult but Bill has to stand for few hours. After work his legs often hurt. Last year he also had some problems with his back. Bill usually works eight hours a day. If there is much work to do, his boss asks him to work at the weekend. If Bill works more than eight hours, he is paid overtime. He doesn't earn much money. Every Monday he gets his weekly wages. He tries to save up some money because he dreams about opening his own restaurant. Bill works with 50 other workers. They get along very well. His best friend, Mike works in the same factory. They usually work on the same shift. Bill doesn't like working at night but he has to do it every other week. After a night shift Bill is often too tired to do anything else.
